Fairfield, CT — August, 2009. Helping a group of youngsters promote their cause, was a labor of love for Userking, especially since one such teenager is the son of a Userking employee. This ambitious group formed H2Africa.net in order to raise awareness of the lack of clean water in Africa and raise funding to help African children bring water to their villages.

Its founder, Gary Oster had the idea to start the non-profit organization after he came home from a trip to South Africa. The shock of seeing so many African children living with so little and lacking food and water, made Gary determined to do something about their plight. He and his friends formed H2Africa to make difference in other children’s lives.
Their first project is to bring water to Africa by raising funds to install PlayPumps, (playpumps.org). Userking generously helped them get the word out by building a Web site that the kids could update, blog and manage themselves.
H2Africa is a CT non-profit organization founded by Gary Oster, Daniel Shur and Adam Shur. Its fifteen members are devoted to helping the children and families of Africa in all areas of their lives. Their first project is to help solve the water crisis by installing a PlayPumps (playpumps.org) in Africa. One PlayPump costs $14,000 and provides 2,500 people with clean drinking water. If you would like to help with their efforts, please visit http://h2africa.net.
